Heard at our house

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Mathew 19:14

Life with children is never dull. These are just a few things said or overheard here lately.

Zack has to put an ey at the end of a lot of his words. So Dark is Darkey as in him crying “It’s too darkey in here.” Or a ducks honking is really honkey, which is a word he finds hilarious so he says it a lot. He called someone honky at church, he actually calls just about everything honky (talk about embarrassing)

We have an obvious rule at our house, no snack or treat if you don’t eat your meal. Zack seems to think that he can get around this rule by having someone else eat it for him. He will often try to sneak food on our plate, or just cry begging us to eat it for him.

Talk about a tough one, Zoe asked us the other day if Jesus is only one man how does he get in everybodies hearts. What do you say to a four year old?

  1. In the same way that God hears all our prayers all at the same time, Jesus can be in all hearts at the same time. I didn’t know if Zoe had ever wondered how God hears everyone at the same time. I am not sure if my SS class knows this because they get really offended if someone else prays while they are praying – or that could just be a “taking turns” issue. It probably isn’t too early to teach the sovereignty of God either, or simply put, God is so great, He can do things we just don’t understand.
