My tip is for bananas

Take your bananas apart when you get home from the store. If you leave
 them connected at the stem, they ripen faster

If you want a banana but don’t want the whole thing, cut it in half, you can wrap the other half or not. When you are ready to eat the other half just cut the very tip off (the brown part) and the rest is as good as before you cut it.
